We have many initiatives to help fellow musicians and get instruments into kids’ hands. Our impact can be felt across the greater Madison region, touching musicians young and old, both in school and performing professionally. We are proud of what we’ve accomplished so far and look forward to doing even more.
When noted Madison drummer and former member of James Brown’s band Clyde Stubblefield passed away in 2017, a move was made to establish a scholarship fund in his memory. The MAMA Scholarship Fund has awarded six students with funds so far.

MAMA Cares helps musicians in times of medical emergency or family crisis. The program was started in 2015 and to date has given over $100,000 to musicians in need.
We match donated instruments with kids who need them. If you have a gently loved instrument in your home that you’re not using anymore, let us find it a new home with a kid who will love it all over again.
