Hannah Busse is a Madison‑based singer‑songwriter, recording artist, and arts leader whose work blends musical excellence with deep community engagement. A longtime creative force in Wisconsin’s music scene, Hannah brings more than two decades of experience as a performer, composer, worship arts director, and collaborator.
Hannah currently serves as the Associate Director of Worship Arts at Blackhawk Church, where she has led teams, mentored emerging musicians, and shaped large‑scale creative programming across multiple campuses. Her leadership roles at Blackhawk span more than 18 years, including positions as Director of Worship Arts and Worship Director for the Fitchburg campus.
As an independent artist, Hannah has released original music as both a recording artist and singer‑songwriter, performing throughout the region and cultivating a dedicated audience. Her work has been recognized with honors such as New Artist of the Year from the Madison Area Music Association and the Complete the Song Contest award from Music Makes a Difference.
Her creative portfolio extends beyond performance: Hannah is known for her sensitive, collaborative leadership style, her ability to bring out the best in others, and her commitment to building inclusive, thriving artistic communities. She has been an active freelance musician since 2002, contributing to projects across genres and settings.
Hannah holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
