6AM Marketing, Madison

Wayne Harris is the Chair of the Madison Area Music Association and a longtime champion of creativity, community, and youth empowerment in Dane County. As the founder and CEO of 6AM Marketing, Wayne has spent more than two decades helping organizations tell their stories, strengthen their brands, and build meaningful connections with the people they serve. His leadership philosophy blends strategic clarity with deep empathy — a combination that has made him a trusted partner to nonprofits, schools, and mission‑driven organizations across Wisconsin.

A passionate supporter of the arts, Wayne is a familiar face at concerts, musicals, and performances throughout the region. His deep love of music and the creative community is matched by his commitment to ensuring that young people have access to the same transformative experiences. A longtime friend of Roy Elkins, Chair Emeritus of MAMA, Wayne was invited to join the board for his extensive governance experience and his ability to help rebuild and modernize the organization’s structure during a period of rapid growth.

Wayne’s community involvement extends far beyond MAMA. He has served on numerous boards and advisory groups, including Schools Make Madison, Gilda’s Club, and the Kids With Wisconsin Foundation, where he has been recognized for his dedication to youth development and the arts. His passion for supporting young people — especially those who face barriers to creative opportunities — aligns directly with MAMA’s mission to ensure that every child who needs an instrument has access to one.

Wayne brings a creative lens and a collaborative leadership style to MAMA’s strategic direction, helping the organization expand its reach, strengthen partnerships, and elevate the voices of young musicians and their teachers. He lives in Madison, where he continues to invest his time, talent, and heart into building a vibrant, inclusive musical ecosystem for the next generation.
