Dana Perry is the Executive Director of the Madison Area Music Association and one of the most dynamic creative forces in the Madison music community. A celebrated singer‑songwriter, multi‑instrumentalist, educator, and arts advocate, Dana brings a rare blend of artistic excellence, community leadership, and deep compassion to her role at MAMA. Her work is rooted in a belief that music is a powerful connector — a force that builds confidence, belonging, and opportunity for people of all ages.


As a performer, Dana has been a fixture on Madison stages for more than a decade. Her songwriting is known for its emotional clarity, fearless honesty, and melodic strength, earning her recognition across the region and beyond. She has released multiple albums, performed at festivals and venues throughout the Midwest, and collaborated with a wide range of artists. Her music has been featured on Broadjam, Bandcamp, and in Local Sounds Magazine, where her 2018 album Reclamation was praised for its depth, vulnerability, and artistic growth.
