Anthony L. Brown II is an artist, writer, and producer based in Madison, Wisconsin. His creative work spans theater, music, film, and live storytelling, with a focus on culturally rooted narratives, historical truth, and community impact. He has written and produced original musicals and plays, released seven solo studio albums, and appeared in educational and independent films, radio dramas, and live performance events nationwide.

Anthony is the founder of Tap ’er Light Creative, a story development company dedicated to reclaiming forgotten histories, centering marginalized voices, and advancing narrative justice through bold, cinematic storytelling. The company’s work is grounded in cultural integrity, collaboration, and the belief that representation and authorship matter, both on the page and behind the scenes.

Previously, Anthony co-founded and served as COO of the Montana Area Music Association, supporting musicians and music communities across the state. He has also hosted widely viewed educational media series, including SciShow Kids and SciShow Psych. Across all mediums, his work explores underrepresented histories, moral complexity, and stories shaped deeply by place.

At MAMA, Anthony serves as Chair of the Board Development Committee, where he supports governance, board growth, and the cultivation of mission-aligned leadership to help sustain the organization’s expanding impact. His work with MAMA reflects a long-standing commitment to arts access, creative education, and ensuring young people have the tools they need to express themselves and thrive.

Anthony lives in the Madison area, where he continues to create, collaborate, and invest in community-centered storytelling and arts leadership.
