The Madison Area Music Association has been busy with press interviews and media promotions this week leading up to the 8th Annual Madison Area Music Awards this Saturday, June 4th at the Overture Center – Capitol Theater! Plus we had a great weekend promoting the awards and supporting the bands that played at Brat Fest!

Ticket Sales for 8^th Annual Madison Area Music Awards

Tickets are expected to go on sale around May 1^st and are available only from the Overture Center Box Office. Tickets can also be obtained online at: www.overture.centerboxoffice.org. Further announcements will be made.

The final round of voting for the 8th Annual Madison Area Music Awards winners is open through May 15th. Voting requires an annual MAMA membership donation of $5 to the MAMA charitable fund. These funds are not commingled with operating funds and go directly toward fulfilling the charitable mission. Begin voting here.

2011 Lifetime Achievement Award Winner Announced

The Madison Area Music Association is proud to announce the winner of this year’s Michael St. John Lifetime Achievement Award winner, the Pro Arte Quartet. This year marks the 100^th anniversary of the musical institution that was begun right here in Madison. Three of the four members will be on-hand to accept the award on June 4^th at the 8^th Annual Madison Area Music Awards being held at the Capitol Theater in the Overture Center. The trio will also perform at the awards ceremony.
