VIP Bus Package Details
Tuesday, April 20th, 2010The 7th annual Madison Area Music Awards show will be on May 8th at the Overture Center. The MAMAs are offering a special VIP bus package for this event.
Cost of the VIP Bus Tickets are $50.00 which includes:
- Admission to the awards show
- Access to the VIP room (where you can mingle with other VIPs and where food is also provided)
- After the awards show you will get on a mini Badger Coach that will take you to the following MAMAs after party stops: The Annex (live music by Sunspot & John Masino) and The Brink Lounge (live music by Soul Shakers & Aaron Williams).
We will stay at each stop for about 1 hour. The cover charges for these events are included with your purchase. The mini coach will take all that have survived the night back to the Overture Center around bar time from The Brink Lounge.

2010 MAMA Nominees
Saturday, March 27th, 2010MAMAs Announce 2010 Nominees
The votes are in as the first round of the 2010 Madison Area Music Awards voting has come to a close. Overall there are 212 nominations going to 139 unique nominees.
Mark Croft and Mike Droho and the Compass Rose lead the way with seven nominations. Following closely are Aaron Williams & the Hoodoo, The Blue Olives and Natty Nation, each with six nominations. Those with five nominations include the Gomers, Whitney Mann, Beth Kille and Primitive Culture. Madison County had four nominations and Art Paul Schlosser, Hanah Jon Taylor, Lords of Discipline, Null Device, Soul Shaker, Sunspot, Cemetery Improvement Society, L.O.S.T. S.O.U.L.S. and the Rowdy Prairie Dogs each had three. The number of nominations includes group nominations as well as individual nominations in instrumental and vocal categories.
The final round of voting begins March 28th and runs until April 28th. The awards will be presented on May 8th at the 7th Annual Madison Area Music Awards at the Capitol Theater in the Overture Center with doors at 6 PM. Tickets are on sale April 1st at the Overture Center Box Office and are $13.

Whitney Mann to Play the MAMAs
Whitney Mann will be performing at the 7th Annual Madison Area Music Awards being held May 8th at the Capitol Theater in the Overture Center. Mann will perform two songs with her band during the cermonies.
Afterward she will appear at the Alchemy Cafe with Jeremiah Nelson and Shawn Drake opening.
We’ve also just learned that Mann will open three shows on Willie Nelson‘s spring tour. The dates are:
March 18 at the LaCrosse Center in LaCrosse
March 24 at the Rialto Square Theatre in Joliet, IL
