Wurst Times Fest @ High Noon Saloon

Wurst Times Fest @ High Noon Saloon | Madison | Wisconsin | United States

WTF LLC celebrates Wisconsin by hosting the best grassroots musical event Madison has to offer on Saturday, May 23, 2015. The fifth annual Wurst Times Festival — Right to Wurst edition, a working class friendly event, hosts homegrown talent and food!

Once, again, the High Noon Saloon and The Brass Ring, located at 701 E. Washington Ave., open their doors and turn up their speakers beginning at 11 a.m. and groove on until 7 p.m. Located in the heart of Madison, these venues are inseparable to the spirit of the city and literally bring music to your ears.

The fifth annual Wurst Times Festival showcases the genius of many Madison bands on multiple stages! The High Noon Saloon will feature your favorite MAMA’s musicians amplified to perfection with their state-of-the- art sound system. The Brass Ring stage will feature local singer-songwriters and acoustic acts, and our outdoor stage will captivate you with great performances from a cacophony of musical acts.

Now that we’ve satiated your musical sensibilities, we are also in tune with your appetite! We have locally made, flavorful brats from Hosely’s Meats! Vegetarians can also sing their praises to Tofurky for once again providing vegetarian brats! Want a pick-me-up in the morning? Arrive early for free JavaCat coffee.

Our event focuses on sweet harmony rather than cacophony of divisiveness and we want everyone to be able to afford to participate and celebrate Wisconsin unity. Wurst Times Festival is a working class benefit. Brats will be priced at $3 (or 2 for $5) and event beer at $4. A suggested $10 monetary donation, discounted with non-perishable food items, will be solicited at the door. Proceeds feed the mouths and musical souls of those in our community and will be split between Second
Harvest Foodbank and children of the Madison Area School District, so they may obtain musical instruments they may not otherwise be able to afford.

Wurst Times Festival VI: Fear the Wurst!
Saturday, May 28

Madison, WI (May 21, 2016) – The sixth annual Wurst Times Festival
(WTF) will be held Saturday, May 28th from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. at
the 701 East Washington complex. Featuring 22 local music
performances and locally sourced brats and beer, Wurst Times is a
Madison love fest, celebrating community and citizen unity.

Three stages will run during the day: the WTF Outdoor Stage hosted by
Gabby Parsons, the MAMA High Noon Saloon Stage hosted by Rick Tvedt
and the Brass Ring Stage hosted by Phil Gnarly and John Noyd. Brats
and other food items will be provided on the patio by the Brass Ring.
Beer will be served outdoors with full bar service in both the High
Noon Saloon and the Brass Ring. Just Coffee will also have a cart in
the lot.

This event is rain-or-shine with a large tent erected in the lot and
another tent to cover the stage. Tables with umbrellas are also
available outdoors.

Admission is a $10 suggested donation or $8 with a nonperishable food
donation.

Wurst Times Festival benefits two great local charities: the Madison
Area Music Association and Second Harvest Food Bank. For the last few
years the donations from Wurst Times Fest have topped the list for
Second Harvest Food Bank in number of meals provided.

Two bands will celebrate CD releases. Guitar stylist Greg Thornburgh
will release his second album, Hook Echo and Oh My Love will
celebrate their brand-new recording, their first full-length,
entitled Ghosts and Bubblegum. Both will play the High Noon stage
with Thornburgh at 11 a.m. and Oh My Love at 4:15 p.m.

Joining the lineup, which is included with this release, are Trap
Saturn who will perform in the High Noon at 2:15 p.m. and the
Driveway Thriftdwellers who will perform on the Outdoor Stage at 12
noon. Both the Getaway Drivers and Tiny Dinosaur had to cancel their
appearances.

Wurst Times VI is sponsored by the Brass Ring, the High Noon Saloon,
Hoesley’s Meats, Red Square Audio, With Gusto and Audio Visual of
Madison.

Special thanks to Wil-Mar Neighborhood Center, Matthews Tents, Just
Coffee, WORT, WSUM, Local Sounds Magazine, William J Krupinski,
Second Harvest Food Bank, the Madison Area Music Association and all
the Wurst Times volunteers.
