MAMAs Donate Guitars to Centro Hispano

On November 23, 2009 the MAMAs  presented several classical guitars to Centro Hispano for use in their youth music instruction program as part of the MAMAs’ continuing mission to put musical instruments in kids’ hands.

Accepting the guitars was Kent Craig, Director of the Centro Hispano Institute for the Cultural Arts.

The guitars are 7/8-size nylon string, perfect for kids and as learners for adults. The guitars were purchased from Good-n-Loud Music in Madison. They provided the MAMAs with a generous dicount on the price through Yamaha and even threw in a couple of the cases.

Channel 3 News and La Communidad newspaper were on hand o rport the event, which appeared on Channel 3 news.
